Trying to work on the workbench I’m building, a small Roubo (5’ x 15”) out the crappiest Fir 4x4s I have ever tried to do anything with. But they were free. And dry. I need to get the end cap installed so I can finish the wagon vise (a modified copy of the BenchCrafted tail vise). But it wasn’t happening and I wanted to do something, so I started to think about the next plane I want to build, a jointer. Here is what I got after letting the pencil wander around on paper for a while.
